Topic: Hypnosis: A Powerful Tool for Occupational Therapy Practitioners to Empower Clients
Speaker: Cally D. Stewart, OTD, MS, OTR/L, Certified Hypnotherapist
Learning Objectives:
- 1. to gain an understanding of the therapeutic use of hypnosis in OT practice
- 2. to learn about and be able to identify altered states of consciousness that can be applied purposely vs those that occur spontaneously
- 3. to explore hypnosis through experiential exercises
- 4. to explore, through case studies and discussion, ways hypnosis can enhance client empowerment and be applied to OT practice
Meeting includes Brief Introductions and Announcements with most of the meeting time spent on Presentation and Discussion
