Pediatric Occupational Therapist

Children’s OT Connection (COTC) is a small, therapist-owned pediatric therapy company that has been serving children and families since 2004. We partner with independent schools and families throughout the Boston and MetroWest areas to provide high-quality, individualized pediatric occupational therapy services.

We are currently looking for highly motivated, enthusiastic, and experienced pediatric occupational therapists to join our growing team.

The ideal candidate has pediatric and/or school-based OT experience, enjoys collaborating with teachers and families, and values the opportunity to provide meaningful, individualized care with a team approach.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate children ages 0–15
• Develop individualized treatment plans
• Provide pediatric OT interventions for children with a variety of developmental and neurological needs
• Collaborate with families, teachers, and caregivers
• Provide parent and teacher education and support
• Collaborate with other members of the child's care team
• Complete accurate and timely documentation, including:
• • Evaluation reports
  • Daily treatment notes
  • Weekly time sheets
  • Six-month progress reports

Areas of Experience

Experience working with children with a variety of needs is valued, including:

• Sensory processing differences
• Developmental delays
• Autism spectrum disorder
• Cerebral palsy
• Down syndrome
• Developmental coordination disorders
• Prematurity
• Fine-motor and visual-motor difficulties
• Handwriting and school-related challenges
• Regulation and executive-function difficulties

Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts OT license
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
• 3–5+ years of pediatric experience preferred
• School-based experience is a plus
• Strong understanding of child development
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team
• Valid Massachusetts driver's license
• Ability to travel to client homes and schools throughout the Boston/MetroWest/Cambridge area
