Director of Fieldwork/Experiential Education/Assoc. Professor
Western New England University, College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, Division of Occupational Therapy, announces an exciting opportunity to participate in the development and implementation of the fieldwork/experiential education component for an Entry-Level Doctoral Program in Occupational Therapy (OTD). We invite applications for a full-time, 12 Month, Director of Fieldwork/Experiential Education/Associate Professor.
Applicants seeking this position, should hold an earned Doctoral degree (e.g. Ph.D, Ed.D or OTD), have full-time academic experience, and possess documented expertise as an occupational therapist.
Academic experience in curriculum development/teaching related to fieldwork education, and administrative experience in implementing fieldwork education is preferred. Individuals seeking this position should embrace: the pursuit of collaborative relationships with practice communities at the local, regional and national levels; outreach to expand student fieldwork opportunities in current and emerging areas of practice; and self-direction in creatively envisioning new models for delivering fieldwork/experiential education.
Applicants must be initially certified by NBCOT, hold current AOTA Membership, and be licensed or licensure eligible in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Doctoral degree (Ph.D., Ed.D., OTD, Sc.D.) from a regionally accredited institution and a history of scholarship (Boyer,1990).
Full-time experience in an academic setting, including fieldwork education and/or teaching, advising, and service on college/university committees.
Documented clinical practice experience in occupational therapy.
Administrative experience including, but not limited to fieldwork education, program planning and implementation, and program evaluation.

Valid Driver's License
