IMMEDIATE OPENING/ Occupational Therapist  

 

H.A.R.T. Associates is a private organization employing over twenty physical, occupational and speech/ language therapists.  Our company has been in operation for over twenty-five years.  We are located in Saugus, Massachusetts , about eight miles north of Boston .  Area public school districts contract with our agency for the provision of these service s to students with special needs who qualify under an individual educational program, as well as those students who qualify for Section 504 services. 

 

We are currently seeking a full-time and part-time occupational therapist and/ or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to work in the Malden / Medford area.  Both are permanent positions.  Contract hours are available up to  thirty to thirty-five hours per week, depending on the school district and therapist preference.  Contracts are for the school year, with opportunities for extended day and summer employment, depending again on therapist preference. This is a great opportunity for an individual who wishes to work as part of an experienced clinical TEAM.  We offer co-treatments with other ancillary providers.  Therapy may be provided using either a pullout or an in-class model or a combination of the two, based on student need. 

 

Responsibilities would include evaluation of students, determination of need for service , development of goals and objectives for treatment and direct service to students and consultation to staff and families. We provide technical support and consultation to new staff members, and we ensure that new staff are assigned mentors to assist in the transition process.
